Shopko Optician Certification Practice Test

Progressive lenses blend distance, intermediate, and near vision in one lens, so the design names describe the primary working zones. In SmartLife, the standard designs are Near, Distance, and Intermediate, which correspond to close-up reading, far distance, and mid-range tasks respectively. Far is not a distinct SmartLife progressive lens design; far vision is provided by the Distance portion of a progressive lens, not by a separate design. Therefore, Far is not a SmartLife progressive lens design.
